Students are working still in Reading on the novel study of "The Chocolate Touch" by Patrick Skene Catling. They will be creating a portfolio of activities, art, and writing for this project that will go home when they have completed the novel.

In Science we continue to learn about our animal habitats, and how they compete with each other for survival.

In math we are still in Chapter 3 Using Place Value to Add and Subtract. Included in this chapter is place value blocks, word problems, and estimation. Students need to practice their rounding skills.

In our class this week we started on Scholastic News a wonderful supplemental program that deals with Social Studies, Science, reading, and a whole lot more. When we finish the magazine in class students can take it home.
