This week at Northwood we have our Scholastic Book Fair in the library all week. Our class will be going to it on Wednesday, so students can bring some cash to the fair to buy a book. This Thursday night is PTA Elections as well as Northwood Family Science Night at 6 P.M.

In math we will be moving away from time and fractions to keep up with the curriculum. Students will be working on perimeter and area for the next three weeks.
Monday: 13-1 Understanding Perimeter
Tuesday: 13-2 Perimeter of Common Shapes
Wednesday: 13-3 Perimeter and Unknown Side Lengths
Thursday: 13-4 Different Shapes with the Same Perimeter
Friday: 13-5 Problem Solving - Solve a Simpler Problem and Make a Table
SCIENCE/READING/WRITING
This week we will continue with our partner planet projects in class. The students will be gathering information from text, internet resources, and their textbooks while working together to create a typed paper using Google Docs.
Science Fair is May 4th. Students were given their planning sheet last Friday. On Monday we will look at it and revise it to keep on track with the planning process.
HOMEWORK
Students will have math, reading journal, and they will be able to work on their science partner project and science fair project.
